Maya Moiwo Kaikai the proprietor of the Luawa Resort Hotel in Kailahun has told this medium that he is waiting
for some funding to go ahead with the planning for the SLFA elective congress.
This year’s elective congress which has been slated for next month will be hosted in the Kailahun district for
the first in the history of Sierra Leone football.
He said that modalities have been put in place to accommodate all concerned. The Chairman went on to say that,
he is working hand in hand with the Chiefdom Authorities, football authorities and the Head of Police in the
District for proper security among other things.
He said as the time is fast approaching he needs to get the exact number of people that will be involved. He
added that he wants the FA to disburse the funds in time to enable him put things in place on time.
The Chairman told this Medium that the congress will be organized in a grand style. The visitors he said will be
entertained with the Kailahun cultural dance troupe. He went further that his hotel will accommodate everyone
stating that his hotel is spacious and there were nice guest houses in Kailahun and several others have been
built.
Kaikai said he has informed all the guest house owners and that he is only waiting now for the funds to engage
them. The chairman debunked rumours that they are supporting one candidate. He said, he believes in democracy
and as far as he is concerned “Kailahun district is open to every candidate to campaign.
